About The Author

sabrina buckner is the author of the book Phoenix Rising

Sabrina Buckner was born in 1992 in North Carolina. Growing up she was often in the foster system before emancipation at 16. She is a mother to a 10 year old son and has helped rescue many animals in her community. Sabrina is a tireless advocate for the welfare of children and animals and her focus as an author is to empower those who cannot speak for themselves.

Phoenix Rising is a journey into the heart of trauma, showing how poetry can be a vehicle for healing. The poems within these pages offer a journey through trauma and healing, revealing what one person’s unique journey has looked like.

Writing is a powerful tool for healing, giving the author and reader a safe space to explore and process difficult emotions and experiences without judgment. Raw thoughts and feelings on paper create a safe distance from your trauma where self-evaluation and acceptance can blossom. This separation allows one to examine their past from a new perspective, making the overwhelming feel more manageable. This platform can help you to find a sense of control and empowerment, transforming pain into a foundation of strength and resilience. Phoenix Rising is a story of overcoming darkness to find true love and acceptance.

About The Book

In the quiet, often lonely, journey of healing from trauma, what if you had a hand to hold? Phoenix Rising is more than a poetry collection—it’s an unflinching exploration of a soul finding its way back to itself. Author Sabrina Buckner guides you through a deeply personal journey of unburdening, confronting the very roots of inherited pain and understanding where it all went wrong before you even existed.

This book is a testament to the transformative power of private writing, a raw and honest compilation of stories, emotions, and hard-won truths. Through these pages, you’ll witness the shift from rage to peace, from despair to self-worth. Whether you are in therapy, on your own path to recovery, or simply seeking validation for your experience, Phoenix Rising offers a powerful reminder that writing can be your sanctuary and that true healing is not only possible but a beautiful, messy, and necessary process.
